10 Ways to Celebrate the Holidays with Your Preschooler
The holiday season is here. While our celebrations may be different this year, there are still fun ways to enjoy the season. Whether you decide to celebrate socially distant or at home, we wish all of our Woodcrest family a Happy Holidays! Read below for COVID-safe ways that you can enjoy the month of December with your preschooler.
From your home…
- Pawliday Kids Party: Hosted by the Annenberg PetSpace, if your child loves cats, dogs, and critters then this is the purrfect virtual party for them. The hour-long celebration will have fun games and activities that your little one can enjoy right at home. Register for your ticket today and join the fun on Dec. 12.
- Theatricum Carol Sing-Along: With the holiday season being different this year, Theatricum is bringing the cheer to you via Zoom. You and your preschooler will love this fun carol sing-along. Join Theatricum Botanicum for a new virtual tradition on December 20th.
From your car…
- The Elf on the Shelf’s Magical Holiday Journey: Everyone’s favorite elf is returning in a big way this holiday season. This one of a kind immersive experience can be enjoyed from your car now through January 3. Purchase your tickets ahead of time to enjoy the magic before it’s gone.
- WonderLAnd: “A frosted, all-ages welcome adventure emerges in Woodland Hills!”. Don’t miss out on the wonder of the holiday season as it meets the joy of the season in lalaland. This inclusive showcase features a range of snowy and safe fun. This festive celebration is open now through December 30th.
- Holiday in the Park Drive-through: Six Flags is bringing their magic right to your car with their new holiday experience. For the very first time, you and your little one will get to experience Magic Mountain’s holiday wonderland in this drive-thru nighttime spectacular.
- Dodgers Holiday Festival: For Angeleno’s, there is no better combination than combining holiday cheer with Dodgers fandom. Like all other drive-through experiences, your family will be able to take in the seasonal cheer from your car. Celebrate with the team in blue and white by reserving your tickets here.
- Holiday Road: If your family has enjoyed ‘Nights of Jack’ through the years, then you’ll love Holiday Road! Located at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas, cruise through countless candy canes and all the festive cheer you could ask for. Holiday Road kicks off December 4th – January 10th.
Socially distant…
- Glow at South Coast Botanic Garden: We love every opportunity to share the wonder of nature with our students. Glow at South Coast Botanic Gardens blends the wonder of nature with the joy of the season. Rather than being overtly holiday-themed, ‘Glow’ brings the colorful elements of the ocean as the central theme. This new take on a timeless tradition will introduce your little one to the spectacular wonders around us from shore to sea. Now through January 10th.
- Holidays at the Harbor: Those familiar with Dana Point during the holiday season have come to expect this twinkly spectacle. Every night throughout the holiday season, the Harbor’s magnificent light display will illuminate the evening sky for guests of all ages to enjoy. Have your family holiday fun at the harbor now through January 3rd.
- Knotts Taste of Merry Farm: Presented by Knotts Berry Farm, the Taste of Merry makes for a wonderfully sweet treat the entire family can enjoy. While the park is closed, the area will still twinkle with seasonal flare. With only a handful of dates still available to allow for limited capacity, it’s best to book ahead of time.
We hope that however, you choose to celebrate the season, that you do so safely. From all of us at Woodcrest Preschool, we hope you enjoy the holidays with your little one
